Last night was so much fun at the first general session of the 2010 Kids Ministry Conference here in Birmingham, AL. Before the conference began I dragged some of my friends to one of my favorite places on earth for dinner. . . Dreamland BBQ. All I can say about that is "yum!"
After dinner I came back over to #kmc10 and got to experience amazing worship with Anthony Evans, fun sing-a-long time with Yancy and then hear Rick Burgess from the Rick and Bubba talk radio show speak about his family and personal experience with kids ministry at his church. It was funny and touching! Rick came backstage after speaking and I was able to meet him and do a quick interview. He’s a great guy who loves God and lives out his faith in really tangible ways.
