The Kids Ministry Conference was so much fun this year! I had the best time seeing old friends and meeting new friends. And speaking of old friends, I had the privilege of interviewing someone who is an old friend of mine and a mentor of sorts. Angela Thomas was one of our keynote speakers at Kids Ministry Conference 2010. I’ve known Angela for nearly 20 years which is hard to believe. This godly woman was my Bible study teacher here in Nashville back in the ’90’s. A small group of women met in a friend’s condo in the Green Hills area of town every Tuesday night for years. It was a special group and Angela poured a lot of wisdom into us. Now, years later, Angela is a successful author and speaker and has the opportunity to teach the Bible in large group settings all over the country. She is still doing what God has gifted her to do but on a larger scale. She is faithfully teaching the women that God puts in front of her week after week. I’m thankful for Angela. . . for her life and her ministry. She has a new book out called "Do You Know Who I Am?" You can check it out by visiting her website: www.angelathomas.com
Be sure to watch her interview below. In it she talks about how churches can minister to single moms and also tells us a little more about her new book. Angela, thanks for all you do. And thanks for coming to #kmc10 to encourage kids ministers in your unique and special way.
