And…a couple more ideas!
Here’s a way to make a fun, interactive graph with preschoolers or school-age children. Place pictures of playground equipment in the Giant Game Floor Mat pockets with instructions asking children to “vote” for their favorite playground equipment by placing a marker or craft stick in the pocket below the picture. (This activity connected with the Bible story of the The Good Samaritan.) Children will enjoy counting the votes and discussing ways they can be kind at the playground.
Occasionally, you want to have a game just to get the “wiggles” out! Here’s a fun way to do that. Load up the GGFM pockets with numbers and movement instructions. Ask a child to toss a beanbag onto a number and another beanbag onto a pocket with a movement card. The child then leads the group in the movement the number of times indicated on the number card.
Come back in a couple of hours for the last of today’s GGFM ideas! See ya later…going to work on my expense report in the meantime! 🙂
