Have you noticed how videos capture kids’ attention? And while I sometimes am concerned that kids these days are way too attached to the screen, I see the value of using media to reach today’s kids with the good news of Jesus Christ. So, I’m pretty excited about the new video enhancements that will be found in Bible Studies for Life: Kids this coming fall.
For preschoolers and their leaders, the DVD (or Digital Video Bundle, if you decide to go that route) offers an interactive video for each session. The host converses with the boys and girls about the Bible story and the Life Point and allows time for the preschoolers to respond aloud. Click here to see a preview:
For elementary-age kids and their leaders, the DVD (or Digital Video Bundle) has four videos for each session:
• Introduction and Wrap Up — The Introduction video helps transition the Introductory Activity into Study the Bible. The Wrap Up videos help conclude the day’s Bible study

• Teaching Picture — a larger version of the picture for that session (same illustration found as a Pack Item)
• Life Action — illustrates the main idea of the session

I’m looking forward to seeing how these videos enhance the Bible study experience for preschoolers and children. Helping kids really get the main idea and will reinforce the Bible content is a great tool to have in your “teaching toolkit.”
Thanks, Andi Hultman (production editor for Bible Studies for Life: Kids) for helping me with this post! You\’re the BEST!
