In September of 2009 I started the blog, Kids Ministry 101. I stated on that first post that “Kids Ministry 101 is not about Bill Emeott but about Kids Ministry leaders working in the trenches honoring God’s call on their life.” This blog was created so KidMin leaders could share concerns and opinions about kids ministry. It hopefully gives opportunity for contribution from and connection for its readers.
Over the years, several folks have joined me on the blog team in order to provide more and more thoughts and experiences on a variety of subjects and ideas. It’s been really neat to hear from so many different viewpoints and thought ideas. I’m thankful for the opportunity to share.
I want to introduce you to a couple new bloggers who will post regularly on Kids Ministry 101.
Jana MaGruder: Jana serves as the Director of Kids Ministry Publishing. Jana and her family moved to Nashville from Austin, Texas where she served as the director of children’s ministry at the west campus of Austin Stone Community Church. Jana brings a wealth of experience and passion for kids, kids ministry, and the local church. Jana and her husband, Michael have three kids.
Jeffrey Reed: Jeffrey serves as the Director of Kids Ministry for LifeWay. He came to LifeWay with a wide variety of ministry experiences including worship leader, director of children’s ministry, and executive leadership in several growing congregations. Jeffrey and his wife Katherine have 4 kids.
You’ll still hear from Klista Storts, Jerry Vogel, Jeff Land, and me… but I wanted you to meet the newest members of our blogging team, Jana and Jeffrey. Get ready for more great posts from KidMin friends, both old and new!
