Kids of all ages love games. However, you may have noticed that most kids enjoy the game most when it’s their turn!
For boys and girls age Kindergarten and younger, games can be used to not only have fun, but also to teach Bible skills and Bible truths. Try this one, and let us know how it works for you!
Gather: 12 sheets of 9 x 12 construction paper, each a different color; a bean bag
Arrange: the 12 sheets into a grid on the floor, four sheets wide and three sheets deep
To play: Allow each child in your group to take a turn tossing the bean bag onto one of the sheets of colored paper. You may want to place a tape strip on he floor defining the standing spot for the kids. On whatever sheet of color the kid’s bean bag lands, the child is asked to name something that God created that is the same color as the sheet of paper. Depending on age, use less colors/more colors/even making some of the pages half and half of two different colors. If the child lands on the two color page, he/she should tell something God created that has both of those colors. If time allows, let children have more than one turn each. To help younger kids, you may want to encourage their friends in the group to give suggestions!
