Looking for an extra activity to help honor and acknowledge moms this Mother’s Day? This sweet and simple flower-themed craft helps kids reflect on the ways their mom (or a mother figure) is a blessing and creates a gift moms will cherish!
Supplies:
- Construction paper (green for stems, bright colors for flowers)
- Scissors
- Glue sticks or tape
- Markers or crayons
- Optional: small popsicle sticks or paper straws for stems
Instructions:
- Cut out several flower shapes and one vase shape for each child. We have a download for the vase below to print out!
- On each flower, have the child write one word or short phrase that describes their mom (e.g., kind, funny, prays for me, helps me, etc.).
- Assemble the flowers with stems and glue or tape them to the vase.
- On the vase, write: “Her children rise up and call her blessed – Proverbs 31:28”
- Let kids decorate their bouquet however they’d like; with hearts, glitter, or drawings.
Takeaway: As the kids work, talk briefly about what it means to bless someone and how we can honor and thank our moms with our words and actions.
