We’re so thankful for summer volunteers, it’s time to show our appreciation! Whether they helped lead groups, passed out goldfish, or wrangled preschoolers with a smile, they made a difference. Celebrate their impact with a fun and soapy thank you!
Pick a Date: Choose a warm Sunday or weeknight when most volunteers will be there.
Get Permission: Ask volunteers in advance if they’d like to participate and get permission to wash their vehicles.
Gather Supplies: Buckets, hoses, car-safe soap, sponges, towels, signs, optional water guns for extra fun!
Create a Rotation: Assign kids to supervised stations—rinse, soap, scrub, rinse, dry.
Add Fun Touches:
- Music playing
- Thank-you signs
- A tag or card placed on their dash afterward: “Thanks for going the extra mile for our kids!”
Serve Treats: Offer lemonade or popsicles while volunteers wait or after their car is done.
