Buckle up and get ready to soar! At Take Flight® VBS, kids will embark on an unforgettable adventure exploring the skies in hot air balloons, gliders, airships, and even sea planes. From the moment of takeoff, this VBS will help kids lift their eyes above the turbulence of life and see the One who never changes.

Pilots rely on flight plans and trusted instruments, but there is something even better! We have an ever-faithful God who never fails, and we can trust Him no matter where life’s journey takes us. Whether in the middle of clear skies or stormy weather, our faithful God is always in control—and He will carry us safely through.

Each day of VBS, kids will soar to new discoveries about the incredible faithfulness of God. Through exciting Bible stories, hands-on activities, high-energy games, and creative crafts, kids will learn:

When I feel like I am all alone, God is always with me.
When bad things happen, God is still good.
When I disobey God, He is faithful to forgive me.
When I don’t understand, God is the One I can trust.
When following God is hard, God is faithful to help me.

DAY 1: God Is with Me—No Matter What

Bible Story: God Was with Elijah (1 Kings 19)

The Point: When I feel like I am all alone, God is always with me. (Preschool: God cares about me.)

Bonus Verse: He will not leave you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8b

DAY 2: God Is Good—No Matter What

Bible Story: God Was Good to Joseph (Genesis 37; 41–42; 44–45; 50)

The Point: When bad things happen, God is still good. (Preschool: God is good.)

Bonus Verse: You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result—the survival of many people. Genesis 50:20

DAY 3: God Forgives Me—No Matter What

Bible Story: Jesus Forgave Peter (Luke 22; John 18–21)

Today’s Point: When I disobey God, He is faithful to forgive me. (Preschool: God loves me even when I make wrong choices.)

DAY 4: I Can Trust God—No Matter What

Bible Story: God Rescued Peter from Prison (Acts 12)

Today’s Point: When I don’t understand, God is the One I can trust. (Preschool: God has a plan for me.)

DAY 5: God Is Faithful—No Matter What

Bible Story: God Helped Three Friends (Daniel 3)

Today’s Point: When following God is hard, God is faithful to help me. (Preschool: God helps me know what to do.)
