The next generation is constantly being bombarded with lies and half-truths about what human value truly means. They hear and even internalize messages such as, “I am valued because I hold to the right values,” or “I am valued as long as I contribute or someone else sees me as valuable,” or even, “I am valued because of my brand.” In a world where kids and students often question their worth and identity, they need to know their value doesn’t fluctuate based on popularity, appearances, accomplishments, or anyone’s opinion of them—including their own. Instead, they need to know the truth that their value rests in who God says they are. As His creation, their value is established before the beginning of time.
All people are made and valued by the One who created the stars and galaxies—the One who established valleys and mountains, painted the skies, and spoke life itself into existence. “If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you?” (Matthew 6:30a). The God of the universe created His world with intricate detail and beauty, and He cares deeply for the people He made in His image—people created with intention, care, love, and worth.
This generation longs to know, believe, and experience the true identity and value given to them by God. We get to teach preschoolers, kids, and students that they are not an accident, a mistake, or a random combination of events. Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us that God formed their inward parts and knit them together in their mother’s womb. Each child and student is carefully created by God and made in His image (Genesis 1:27). That means their value isn’t earned—it’s given.
God doesn’t just say we are valuable; He shows it. He celebrates when people come to know and trust Him (Luke 15:7). God made kids and students for a reason, and He has a special purpose for their lives. They don’t have to earn their value or prove they are enough. God already decided they are valuable because they belong to Him.
The world may tell kids and students they have to work for approval or earn love, but God says otherwise. The greatest proof of their value is Jesus. God loved the world so much that He sent His one and only Son to give His life (John 3:16). That means God sees their value and worth as priceless. They are loved beyond measure and chosen on purpose. No mistake, failure, or fear can take away the value God has placed on them.
Psalm 139:13-14
For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well.

For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
