#4 Great Kids Ministers Connect with Kids and Their Families
For years we’ve been adamant about teaching Bible content and making application of that content to the daily lives of kids. I’m all for that! But as I personally look back on my experiences as a child and even as an adult, the thing that stands out most is not the Bible stories taught or event the application given. What stand out the most is the relationships that have been built with those who were teaching me Bible content and life application.
Connecting with Kids and their families will define your ministry. Time spent with people is an investment, to your personal life and to your ministry. Great Kids ministers exercise this habit on a regular basis.
At the end of the day, it really isn’t how much you know, how well you know it, or even how well you execute what you know… It’s true, “they don’t really care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
Bottom Line: Connecting with Kids and their families is a priority for great Kids ministers!
What are some things you’ve done to make connections with the people in your ministry?
