New Year’s Resolution Countdown!
Every December 31st I hear about folks making resolutions for the New Year. I’ve made a few myself over the years… some I’ve kept and others didn’t make it past the first week. I thought it might be fun to consider a few Kids Ministry resolutions for 2013. Feel free to adopt any of these for yourself or tweak them to fit you… but I do think they’re worth considering.
Just to make it fun… I’ll be posting a new resolution every hour until midnight (central time). Enjoy!
#1: Deepen Your Walk with the Lord.
There really isn’t any greater goal or resolution than this. The most import part of your ministry to kids is your relationship with the Savior. Resolve in 2013 to have a deeper relationship with Christ than you’ve ever had before. Schedule your daily Bible reading and quiet time and honor that commitment. Don’t allow anything or anyone to hinder you from having a daily time with God.
I am convinced that God wants to minister to the kids and their families from the overflow of what He’s done in your heart. Your best ministry will come after time spent with the Lord. Don’t let that be anything short of priority.
