Here are four very short prayers that I recommend for you as we close out 2013.
- Lord, please bring children and families into my church (and life) so that I can share your message of hope and salvation with them.
- God, please remind me to get out of your way as you work through me to fulfill your mission.
- Jesus, please give me your eyes as I look for the lost and hurting in my community.
- Lord, remind me to follow you diligently in my own life so that I can be the example to others that I serve.
Now, let me ask you something. Do you think that God wants to answer any of the prayers above? The answer is absolutely. The greater question is,Do you really mean them when you pray them?
God is ready to use you in your ministry. If there is sincerity in your words, be prepared for God to open the floodgates of ministry and, ultimately, His salvation.
